The Dark Night Movie Review.

The best movie that I saw this year was The Dark Night. The lead actors in this film are Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman. This movie is rated PG 13. This movie is about Batman facing the Joker.

The best scene in this movie is when Joker goes to a meeting with other criminals uninvited. He enters the room and everyone just looks at him like he's crazy. He ask them if they want to trust him with their money cause the person responsible for their money right now is not good for the Joker. So he ask one of th guys if the want to see a trick, he says that he can make a pencil disappear. The men start to attack Joker and Joker grabs one of them and slam his head on the table, right on the pencil. The pencil goes straight through the mans forehead.
I recommend this movie because it is an adventure, as well as if someone is a Batman fan should see it..
Most of my classmates would enjoy this movie because there are explosions, fights, and Batman. Ms. Priester would enjoy this movie because it is a movie with adventure and has non-stop craziness.

In eight years, I would like to adopt a Pit Bull Terrier, English Bulldog Mix. I would use PetFinder to locate an adoptable pet, because all the animals have come from animal shelters . If it was already eight years from now, I would select a pet named Steph, because she is a beautiful mix breed. irony and Ambiguity

At first, I thought irony was sarcasm but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the difference between what the readers expect or what seems suitable and the reality of what happens. There are three types of irony: dramatic irony, situational irony, and verbal irony.

I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was a cliff hanger at the end of the story, but I learned that ambiguity is a part of a text with multiple manings in which something can be interpreted in a number of different ways.

On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was far below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.

Theme

At first, I thought theme was the main idea of the selections, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, theme is a central idea or insight about life and human nature.
Some themes are universal, which means that they are commonly found in the literature of all cultures and ages.
Themes can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are non-fiction, fiction, poetry, drama, and myths.
Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is The Lion King.
The theme of this movie is that power corrupts.
On my theme pretest, I was below grade-level. On my post test, I hope that I will be at grade-level.

Second Quarters Goals 2008

This quarter, I will try my best to earn a "B" or higher and an essay. In order to achieve this, I will go to class every day and make sure I have all of my proofreading done for the essay.

This quarter, I will pass with a "B+". In order to achieve this, I will turn in all of my homework, and study for all english tests.

This quarter, I will not be kicked out of class. In order to achieve this, I will be respectful to my peers and respectful to Ms. Priester.
